Good Blog, seems a really nice person.
Hope she can make top 100 in a couple or so years.
Thanks for pointing it out.

Yes, very nice blog.

I see that she has confirmed she will be playing in the Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl, and then next year probably concentrating just on seniors apart from Grand Slam juniors.

Her account as to how she feels much more willing to sign autographs having experienced the feeling of rejection herself when younger mirrors very much what Andy Murray has said in the past as to why he is so willing.

If you so wish, you can vote for Heather as WTA comeback player of the year.

I love Hev very dearly, and she's had a wonderful return, but she's only third in my estimation from these nominees.

I voted for Mirjana.

Oh good, that's OK. I see a thread about a player appearing and think maybe bad news.

whisper - I've also voted for Mirjana

Delighted to see Ms Watson on the list - good to have recognition of her courage and skill. Well done, she.

(But yes, fan of Ms Watson though I am, I also .... well, how can one not?)

I hope Heather does well in the vote, though based on the rules mentioned she shouldn't be in it as she only missed 2 months. In the broader sense of the term 'comeback player of the year' she is rightly in the group of players though.

I have voted for Heather, as based on previous posts she needs all the support she can get!

I guess in a sense Heather was "missing" for considerably longer than her actual tournament gap. As it says, she came back too soon.

To be fair Lucic-Baroni doesn't meet the criteria the WTA have specified either, she's played a full schedule since 2008 with no prolonged injury breaks

Interesting to note that Hev has not entered any of the 3 WTA tournaments in week one.

Not sure it tells us a whole lot, but given the fact she isn't injured, it MAY and I mean only MAY suggest that she is not going to play as many tournaments next year, because I think most of us on here did observe that she was pretty burnt out by the end of this year playing a very full schedule.

Can I put age as an excuse, what a shocker.

I voted for Hev out of loyalty, but in my heart of hearts, I think Keys is most deserving.
