That's one hell of a feat for Evo to have a more awful defeat than the Glasgow final one week later.
What gives with these performances ??! And no excuse was rendered for last week against Mertens when by accounts he was generally simply rallied until he made a mistake.
Yet most of the rest of the time he has sailed through matches, though had a 3 setter yesterday.
Again, I'd like to think there is some accountable reason / excuse but none seemed to come to light last week.
Josh Milton took 8 games off Kontinen, Bloomfield took 5 before retiring, again similar story to last week when other GB players had done hugely better against Mertens before he annihilated Evo.
INCOMPREHENSIBLE !!

i am guessing that Dans game matches up very badly to certain types of players, perhaps some of the guys just hit too hard for him to cope with currently. i am sure it something given time he can work on, but if that is the case its unlikely to change over 2 weeks.

Well his game must match up as badly to Mertens and Kontinen as it it ever possibly badly to do.
I really do myself think there has to be a bit more to it than that, and surely Evo was capable of getting a closer than that on at least one and probably both occasions.
