That's a great result from Willis.

It was beginning to look pretty bad from a GB point of view with maybe only Evo through to the quarters, but that is a cheering result  smile

And he's now given himself a decent chance of getting to the semi, meeting McGee next.

A good few points this week would also be pretty well timed for Marcus since his 16 points from reaching the GB16 final last year come off on Monday.

Great to see the results in so early. Not so good to see the results! Good for Marcus and Dan. Both have decent chances of going further too. Mertens has obviously learned how to handle Dom's big serve. Drat! Still looking like a Przysiezny v Mertens final, unless Kontinen or Evo can upset the Pole. Evans v Przysieny in the semis would be a match to see for those down Cardiff way.

I see Steven's beaten me to the round-up of today's play & summary of tomorrow's QFs, so I'll confine myself to pointing out the obvious:  only the second & fourth seeds still standing! disbelief  Marcus' is definitely the stand-out result of the day! nod.gif

i believe Marcus's points from last years' final are coming off (so are Evo's for winning), so a repeat of it would be nice!

A good day for Marcus.clap.gif Fine win in the singles and a SF spot with Neil P in the doubles. smile

l did expect Evo to win his singles, wink but knocking over the top seeds in the doubles is not to be sniffed at, either.

Not really relevant but fairly certain I just saw Niall Angus at the cinema.

I wanted to tell someone and I don't think my family really care and this seemed the least unsuitable place to post it. shrug.gif
