RE: Week 43 - Futures F16 ($15K) - Cardiff, Great Britain

Bloomers has a horrid first round too.  He's drawn Kontinen who's been on hot form lately - his last Futures results have been Winner, SF, RU & he qualified for Stockholm ATP last week. worry.gif

Kontinen is the guy who Graham Dyce won the junior Aussie Open doubles with isn't he?

Noooo !  Please not Cox, Goodall, Bloomfield and Evans in successive matches.

Daniel boy, sort this out in round one !

Anyway, it's rather rude to go to a foreign country and beat up all their players in their future  ( unless your name is Jamie Baker  wink.gif  )

Kontinen was Wimbledon junior runner up in 08 to Dimitrov. Dyce won with Heliovara

He went down the US college route - he's at the University of Kentucky (http://www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-tennis/mtt/dyce_graeme00.html)

LTA site claims this is a £25K event. laughing.gif

Are they completley mad or is the doubles worth 10K?

They're clearly just stupid because the same article later reads,

"Eaton also teams up with Inglot in the doubles draw as the No.1 seeds will be aiming to reach their second Pro-Series final in a row, after winning the $25k prize in Glasgow on Saturday. "

If I were Eaton or Inglot I'd be straight on the phone to Roehampton at this point, to question what will have a surprisingly small winner's cheque for a 25k.

Give them a break though johnnylad.. they got the cities right.

Pathetic bleh

$25,000 is a long way off the actual $472.5 they will each have received - out of which come travel, hotel, food, restringing, Tax, etc.

I know I have said this many times but the LTA should employ staff with a keen interest in tennis and then these stupid mistakes may be reduced if not eliminated.

the lta webstaff are a bit of a joke to be honest. it really shouldn't be that hard to get simple facts right.
