No their top ranked player is Louk Sorensen, and looking at the drawsheet McGee is ranked ahead of King.

Plus a retirement win is hardly a credible win.

We could, if we beat Lithuania away and they beat Turkey at home (or if we both lose, but let's not think about that), but he hasn't beaten their top two, Niland WR 378 is their no. 2 and King WR 628 is their no. 4.

Their no. 1 is Louk Sorensen WR 348, who lives in Germany and tends to play mainly Challengers these days, and their no. 3 is James McGee WR 542. Fitzy took McGee to a t/b in R1 but McGee reached the QFs here, going out to Rodrigues.

I sometimes try to follow Sorensen's results, he's had an ok year this year and he of course won a challenger last year (as did Niland)

Isn't Colin O'Brian ahead of King?

I know I should just look on the ATP site but I don't have time at the moment.

Evo isn't the Fratellis, he's gonna be Beck - known as a one-hit wonder at the start of his career, follows it up with years of continued brilliance afterwards biggrin

Lets move away from music

Evo is the cherno samba or darren eadie of championship manager

Well look back in 10 years and regard them as fictional characters. so good but dont actually ever acheive anything.

Doubles results:

Cox/Ignatik beat Pauffley/Willis 6-3 6-7 (7-4) 10-3
Eaton/Inglot beat Bradshaw/Slabinsky 6-2 6-3

Signing off for the week folks. Afraid this is my last day as I'm away for the weekend so will sadly miss out on the action over the weekend.

Hmm...  Chris & Dominic clearly had an easier ride against the third seeds than Coxy & Ignatik against Neil & Marcus. biggrin Pity someone had to lose that match! hmm

Doubting me? evileye Did the Count put you up to this? wink O'Brien is the Irish no. 5, but he is only 12 places behind King at WR 640. Tristan Farron-Mahon at WR 884 is the only other Irish player in the top 1000, but Irish no. 7 Daniel Glancy at WR 1100 moved up 625 places on Monday. The 8th and last ranked Irishman is James Cluskey WR 1260.

LOL that would have been cheeky - no, i was replying to Josh's comment just above me, if id seen what you put i wouldn't have questioned it! no

I think i may be right in saying the highest ranked Irish junior is above Oliver Golding in the rankings?
