So what was going on in the other half of the draw?  Vongsouthi (8/FRA) beat Patricia Mayr (1/AUT) by 3-6 7-6(6) 5-2 rtd & Larsson (5/SWE) beat Fedossova (3/FRA) by 5-0 rtd? confuse

Mel's still flying the flag in the doubles, too:  she & Emma Laine (2) (WR 369) beat Fedossova & Sfar (4) (FRA/TUN) (WR 495) by 2 & 1 & they face the two Italian Mayrs, Evelyn & Julia (WR 961), in the final! wink
