Great wins from Lisa and Jade. Close loss for Joss, but great to see her competing with someone of Laine's calibre. Shame for Amanda, but I'm just happy to see her winning consecutive matches again - the only way is up.

It will be interesting to see how Anna fares against her dubs partner, and of course the mouth watering match up of Mel vs Lisa.

Sad for Jos but Laine is playing quite well at the moment.
Potential upset for Lisa in next round on current form.
If you'd said that at the start of the year you would have been described as barmy.

Whilst Mel is clearly on poor form, I can't see Lisa winning this one, especially given how well Mel beat Naomi in Shrewsbury. Would like her to though!

Pity for Jade, but that was a tough one.  I can't hep feeling sorry for he that her lack of inches must be a major limitation that she must really regret.

C'mon Naomi, turn this one round, I'd like to think she would be winning this match.

I suppose with Cav it's all about expectations. If you are happy enough for her to remain a challenger level player this season has been OK but if you have expectations that she will be a top 100 player then it has been a little bit disappointing. I am happy with the first 6 months coming back from a long layoff with some solid results and having arguably the best grass court season of any GB player but since then she has had a raft of disappointing results. She should now be fully recovered from the illness of last year and should in my opinion be hitting top form.
