Jess won a 3 set marathon according to her latest tweet.

The Rens have been criticised in the past for a cautious style of play unsuited to the higher echelons of the game. Jess averaged 6-7 minutes per game judging by her tweet, suggesting that she has not changed her approach (though there may have been some marathon games of course).

R1 (L32)

(1) Jessica Ren (GBR) d. Johanna Skoglund (SWE) 6-4 3-6 6-2
(4) Jennifer Ren (GBR) d. Saana Saarteinen (FIN) 6-2 6-3

R2

(1) Jessica Ren (GBR) v Karolina Rozenberg (RUS)
Marija Milutinovic (SWE) v (4) Jennifer Ren (GBR)

Jen's next opponent looks strong on paper

Jess won 6-2 6-2 so on paper it looks like a better performance.

R2

(1) Jessica Ren (GBR) d. Karolina Rozenberg (RUS) 6-2 6-2
(4) Jennifer Ren (GBR) d. Marija Milutinovic (SWE) 6-4 5-7 7-6(2)

QF

(1) Jessica Ren (GBR) v (Q) Gabriele Bertasiute (LTU)
Katharina Holert (GER) v (4) Jennifer Ren (GBR)

Jess and Jen join forces this week in the doubles, and have a bye to the quarters

QF

(4) Jennifer Ren (GBR) d. Katharina Holert (GER) 6-2 7-5

SF

(4) Jennifer Ren (GBR) v (Q) Johanna Hyoty (FIN)

Jen's third semi of the year, but she needs to at least make the final to gain any points

I think it's fair to say that Jenny is playing better than Jessy at the moment.

I still think this is a poorly conceived tournament name

LOL

Jen gets the opportunity to avenge Jess's loss:

SF

(4) Jennifer Ren (GBR) d. (Q) Johanna Hyoty (FIN) 3-6 6-2 6-3

Final

(Q) Gabriele Bertasiute (LTU) v (4) Jennifer Ren (GBR)

The Danish website doesn't have the updated girls doubles draw, so I don't know their final opponents at the moment, but it is their first final together

No revenge from Jen but a title nevertheless - all their successes this year being in Scandinavia. The singles winner is a 13 year old

Singles Final

(Q) Gabriele Bertasiute (LTU) d. (4) Jennifer Ren (GBR) 7-5 6-3

Doubles Final

(1) Ren/Ren (GBR) d. Myhre/Vavulina (NOR/BLR) 6-2 3-2 rtd
