What a run from Jamie, now 14 wins back to back, beating his previous best winning streak of 13 mostly in Texas futures last year, according to Steven this puts him 4th on the all time list of Brits winning streaks all time list.
Also if Jamie wins tomorrow he will go joint on point for the year with Josh Godall, despite not scoring his 3 point until mid July!
A great, great trip this has been given his circustances. I imagine he will still have to come through qualies at Challenger level(?) but, I am keen to find out if he is ready to pick up any wins there yet.
Looks like Jamie finally ran out of steam ... or maybe he was just trying to ensure that he wasn't barred from entering the country for next year's AO but what a fantastic run he's had down under
It'll be fascinating to see if he can take this form into Challengers.
Huh, loser, and this guy thinks he can play in challengers
I did wink, I did What a tremendous run Jamie has had in Thailand and then even more so in Australia, and as Shhh says maybe the number of matches just finally caught up with him a bit, although I do like Steven's alternative theory
So, during a 9 week period Jamie has played 7 futures tournaments, during which he has :
Won 3 titles with 2 further final appearances and 2 semi finals.
Won 31 matches out of 35, including a run of 25 out of 26 containing unbeaten runs of 11 and 14.
Raised his ranking from 794 to very probably inside the top 350 come Monday week's rankings ( including the neat trick of moving up 4 successive 100 tiers in 4 tournaments )
Not forgetting his Baker's Dozen of 13 successive victories over Aussies.
I guess Jamie probably feels this little trip has been quite successful Hail the return of the real Jamie Baker

Great set of results. Would have been good if he could have won this one, but even so... Like everyone else, I'm hoping his confidence is sky-high and he can make inroads on the Challenger circuit.
Wow I can't believe he lost LOL. Still, it's been an incredible run of for him and great to see after that long spell where he was a shadow of his former self.
I do think playing the first challenger in the States in week 44 is a bit too soon for him after all the tennis he has been playing recently, I'd rather he rest at home for a couple of weeks before doing Jersey.
