Jamie should definately take off three weeks before Jersey, especially if he goes deep here.

Well no mater what happens here he was never playing Glasgow.

Once he gets back ( assuming he's heading to GB land) Cardiff is an option if he fancies it.

If he's wise, he'll come back, have a rest and get a WC for Jersey.

Bash away Baker

Jamie wins 6-4 6-1! Smeets must be glad this is the end of the Aussie adventure!

Top seed also went out today, not sure who is playing in the next round, Dayne Kelly (8) or Todd Reid.

I knew that would happen as soon as I posted.

SF: Jamie Baker (6) WR 447 vs Todd Reid (Aus) WR 916

This is now 12 Aussies beaten in a row, only Aussie's left so good chance to get to 14!

Semi finals start at 11am local time.

Todd Reid could be a very dangerous opponent He got as high as 105 in 2004 with some decent wins on his record. I presume injury has wrecked his career since, with long periods of not playing but, he's shown some form this week.

BAKER  4    SMEETS   0   !!

Poor Robert counts potential ranking points Jamie has cost during the last 4 tournaments and wishes him Bon Voyage  !

Just about as cpmprehensive as last week's final victory, so Jamie seems to be going strongly still  smile

Todd Reid? Jeez that's a blast from the past - didn't he win Wimble juniors in 02?

Never made it though...

Mainly never made it due to injuries though...got to a ranking of 105 back in September 2004, and has been pretty much injured since then it seems.

Good to see him recovered enough to be playing tennis again and it seems that he is winning a few matches now, which is even better to see.

Jamie will probably have enough to beat him though and make another final which is great to see from him.
