I am sure that prospect fills Smeets with glee after their last 3 encounters.

It wouldn''t be a nice statistic to lose to the same player in 4 successive tournaments !

Keep up thr run Jamie.

He must be getting a little tired now though. I suppose he'll have 1 or 2 days off though before this event starts.

I would think that the earliest he would play would be tuesday...as this is a sunday final i suppose they could let him play R32 Wednesday but then it would be 5 matches in 5 days if he made it to the final again.

Jones the top seed here is hardly a threat to Jamie (Lost to smeets just winning 6 games in last weeks SF) so I can see Jamie going deep again if he stays fit.

Looks like Jamie has an extra day off. I can't see him on the OOP for Tuesday.

Good decision.

All the best Jamie. Finish the tour with another title.

Would that get him inside the top 300?

No, I'm afraid not.  His last 4 tournaments will have successively each moved him up to a new 100 tier, which as I said elsewhere must be a very unusual feat.  Alas, the run must now end.

Last week's title takes him to 105 points, and the title here would give him 25 more points taking him to 130 points.  130 points would currently represent 327th position with 300th being 151 points.

He would quite likely be a few places higher than 327th come the rankings in 2 weeks time, since points are generally coming down, but he won't make top 300 quite yet.

I do feel though that it o only a matter of time  smile

Jamie Baker !!    Dropping a set, disgraceful behavior  wink.gif

OK, you've played a lot of matches over the last 8 weeks, I'll let you off.

28 wins out of 31      22 out of last 23    smile

Nice work Jamie, thats 10 Aussies beaten in a row!

This one should be pretty straight forward, Jamie beat him in a Korean future in July.

Well done again Jamie.

Does show he is perhaps getting a little fatigued though - Perhaps time to take a few weeks off and see if he can get into some Challengers beginning at Jersey?

Great to see Jamie finding his form over the past few weeks and picking up plenty of titles to get that ranking all the way back up where it should be.

Does seem that he is starting to run out of steam a little bit but hopefully he can just about do enough to get one more title before having a well deserved week or two off.

Jamie should definately take off three weeks before Jersey, especially if he goes deep here.
