"In singles I had a tough match Saturday evening against Jerome Haehnel from France. I actually played him once before in 2005 when he was around 80 in the world and I lost fairly comfortably so I knew I had my work cut out despite his current low ranking. I played some great tennis but eventually came up short 7-6 6-3.
We started our doubles campaign today with a 6-0 6-7 10-4 win over Duclos (CAN) and Motti (ITA). It was a tricky match and were always happy to come through once the match goes to a match tie break. Today we really raised our game when it mattered and that got us the win. We now play Cerretani (USA) and Junaid (AUS) either tomorrow or Thursday.
With regards to the schedule we will be making a dash for the Russian Embassy in Paris asap as we found out today we are last into the ATP event in St. Petersburg week commencing the 26th! Great news for us and a good chance to continue our good form in ATP events in 2009"
Good to see Flemski sneak into another ATP event and hopefully they can have another good run there to help to get their ranking up so they are playing ATP's each week.
