Very excited about Jamie's progress - another fabulous win. Can't wait to see him back to playing challengers and getting that ranking back to where he deserves. Terrific tournament..
He did lose last week's Darwin final, but still 3 successive finals and 2 titles
With his previous two semis, it's now 14 wins out of the last 15, and 20 out of 23.
To extend on an earlier post I did, he's now unbeaten in 10 games against top 500 players ( 4 of them in top 400 )
Jamie himself will now definitely be in the top 500 again on Monday week, making GB up to twelve top 500 players.
With the latest 2 weeks to be added in, he will soar to 8th in the GB list ( from current 17th ).
I'll second that! Those facts make really heartening reading. Things really are clicking back into place now. His are the fighting qualities we need in the DC. Very well done, Jamie.
I'll third that! Good to see a run similar to what he did in US Futures in Feb/Mar 2008 immediately following the fine win over Calleri in the Davis Cup - mentioning which ....
Let me be the third person to write "terrific news to log on to". I'm not usually around at this time of day, but thought I'd make an exception. Would love him to take out another Aussie in the final.
Glad to see the boy didn't let me down. Great result for him. Onwards and upwards, back to where he belongs.
