great fight from heather, maybe she's one with some mental strength. bring on the seed with all of her pressure to win.

I'm not as confident as the previous posters. I think if she makes the scoreline competitive she will have played extremely well and based upon her match in the FQR I fear it could be a drubbing. But great to see she saw out a match she maybe should have lost. I fear she maybe exhausted mentally from her US open heriocs and the subsequent media barrage.

I don't really see Heather winning, and she may indeed still be getting over the US Open and it's aftermath.

But in  many ways it's a great match to now have. Just try relax, no pressure at all, gather herself and go out and swing and see what happens.

When was the last time she played someone around this ranking in the seniors? That would be Katie in Jersey. 6-1 6-1 to Katie. Use that as the benchmark.

COME ON HEATHER!

I agree, no real expectation. Job done in getting qualified. Out of interest who do you think would win out of Heather and Laura based on current form?

Not seen Heather's game but would think Laura might actually edge it but don't know why. Get the feeling though that Heather could well end up being more consistent in the match and wear her down with longer rallies.

Heartbreaking lost the second in the tie break 7-5 . I wonder if she had any match points ?
Tough to see her winning now but what a great effort all the same.

Great effort - While she lost it does show she can compete at a much higher level

Great great effort from Heather better than I expected as previously said this gives us an idea of where her game is at present taking into account all her efforts over the last couple of weeks, as shown in her previous match clearly Heather fights until the bitter end.

So close and yet so far against a player in the form of her life so things are looking good as Heather continues to develop. I think her next event is Barnstaple.
