I wonder when an all GB pair last reached a final at ATP level?
Goodall & Hutchins in Nottingham 2007. The last winners were probably Tim & Greg, I guess.
Well done to them, Clement & Llodra are a class team who would be challenging for the number one spot if they gave up their singles careers, but they will have confidence having beating the Byrans at Queens.
I think the Clement/Llodra match is a quarter-final against Ascione/Gicquel (if the draw is correct?). The winner will play a Semi v Schuettler/Zverev to decide who goes through to the Final. Presumably there's been a delay to play on that side of the draw because a lot of the players have been involved in the singles? http://www.opendemoselle.com/scortenn/drawDetails.php

Only doubles match today (Saturday): semi-final between (1) Clément & Llodra & Schüttler & Zverev.
Fantastic news to come back to ... and I wonder when is the last time a GB pair reached an ATP Final away from home!

Rankings, probably, but having seen how they were taken apart by a pair of players who were individually less good but played almost perfectly as a team, not to mention the fact that Ross has been off form a bit and (in my opinion) didn't play as well as Colin when they lost together in the previous tie, I think Flemski may well have had a better chance.
I would have been tempted to play Colin in the 5th rubber too - I realise that would have been a controversial call to make, given that Evo's H2H against him in Futures and Challengers is 3-0, but I just get the feeling that Colin is a lot more level-headed and maybe his time out from tennis has given him a bit more perspective. To be fair though, in the mood Przysiezny was in, he'd probably have hit Colin off the court too, but I don't think Colin would have made it quite so easy for the Pole psychologically, and with Przysiezny being as prone to flaking as he is, who knows what would have happened.

Blimey! Aunty has a report on yesterday's triumphs! Pity she can't do her homework properly & get her facts straight about the identity of Flemski's opponents in the final. She's probably right, but she's nevertheless being a bit previous!
