Kimiko Date Krumm is a welcome addition to the top 100, still enjoyable to watch at 39. She often takes the ball early, anticipates well and has a panoply of shots to vary play with. Most relevantly for this thread she narrowly lost to Wozniak in Tokyo today, so that is one less threat to Katie this week (though Chang, who embarrassed Safina, can overtake with one more win - along with Perry in Las Vegas and various players in Athens if they go deep)
