RE: Week 37 - Futures F14 (10k) - Nottingham, GB - Hard

Looks like Eaton played very well today 6-4 6-0, thats four breaks of serve at least. On courts that are slow as well, i wonder if he did Serve-Volley 100% today (play his normal game). Or if he did, just did it to a very high level.

Did anyone go and watch today, be interesting to see if it was Eaton playing well, or Cavaday struggling. Cavaday is a very solid player and after destroying Brassington yesterday looked to be doing alright.

Josh has won 4 back to back matches - how can a man on thsi kind of form be dropped from the DC team?

Chris Eaton having another solid week... so far.

He beat Obrien earlier this year in Jersey Quals 7-5 6-2, so lets hope he can reproduce that result again tommorow- and carry on his great doubles form. In his last 6 events in doubles he has produced the following:

Great Britain F10: Winner
Great Britain F11: Final
India F7: Final
India F8: 1st round
India F9: Winner
Great Britain F13: Winner

and then this week at least a semi.

Doubles QF results:

(1) James Ludlow & Colin O'Brien (USA/IRL) WR 1146 lost to Josh Goodall  & Matt Illingworth UNR by 3-6 6-2 [7-10] biggrin - a good win which I half-expected! w00t.gif

(4) Maniel Bains & David Rice WR 2044 lost to  Andrew Bettles & George Morgan UNR by 3 & 3 crybiggrin

Paul Bishop & Nick Cavaday WR 3020 beat  (3) Burnham Arlidge & Marcus Daniell (NZL) WR 1997 by 4-6 6-4 [10-4] biggrincry

Matthew Brooklyn & Max Jones UNR lost to (2) Chris Eaton & Dominic Inglot WR 1246 by 4 & 5 crysmile

Semi-finals:

Goody & Illy UNR vs Bettles & Morgan UNR

Bishop & Cavaday WR 3020 vs (2) Eaton & Inglot WR 1246

I predict (rash of me, I know!) a final featuring Goody & Illy & Eaton & Inglot. wink

I forgot to say on Tuesday he didn't serve and volley on his second serve.

Wolf said Golding was passing nicely as well...imagine the carnage if he'd s&v on the 2nd serve?!?!

Judging by todays results it may bring him some benefits - but with Eaton you can never be sure of anything, tomorrow COB might go and tonk him 0&0

Great results so far. Nout surpised that Pauffley is having good results he seemed like a great player in wrexham just wasn't quite in the best of form. Wouldn't be suprised to see him do very well here.
