That win guarantees him a CH and a place in the Top 200

Presuming he makes the quarters would James be back out of the top 200 after Davis Cup as he has 12 points coming off that week? Or does the 15 points he would make this week cancel that?

Wardy won according to MTF

Result confirmed:  6-2 7-6(3). smile Plays the Italian, Simone Vagnozzi, WR 279, in the second round, so in theory, progress to the QF.... pray.gif

That's terrific news! w00t.gif  Good on 'em.  I hope Morgan has been busy learning a few more tricks of the doubles trade from his Spanish mate! wink The unseeded Italians, Alberto Brizzi & Wardy's conqueror, Vagnozzi, in the SF.  A chance for revenge, Morgan! nod.gif  All in all, it's been a good day for our doubles boys... biggrin

Great day for the doubles boys yesterday.  Lousy day, on balance, so far today:  Morgan & Daniel Gimeno fought a good fight, but couldn't quite pull it off.  They lost 4-6 6-4 [6-10]. cry Somehow easier to swallow than Flemski's defeat, though... nod.gif
