Keep it up Jamie, lovely to see him back in winning form again even if it is just Futures at the moment. I'm hoping for a big surge back up the rankings next year.
2) A la Slabba a couple of years ago? What's he up to these days, Sheddie? Injured?
He's been out injured for a few months, with a tear to the knee sustained during Wimbledon doubles. Needed an op.
He's back to light hitting atm and will be back playing tournaments in 5-6 weeks, so will probably return at the indoor GB futures in October.
He's looking for sponsors as he needed to reach a year-end ranking of 170 to keep his Aegon funding so I've been redeveloping his site: http://alexslabinsky.webs.com
given the time it's taken and the fact that he seems to be playing at around WR 400 level, I still doubt whether he's ever going to get back to his career high.
I disagree, given the way Jamie plays it was always going to take quite a while to rediscover the intensity and level of fitness required for him to be at his best.
He's still quite young so I see no reason why he can't get back to competing at the level he was at in early 2008.
Hopefully it won't be too long before he gets back to challengers. With Fleming surely going to make a more into the top 300 at some stage and hopefully Bloomfield and Slabba regaining form and fitness we could have a fair few at that level again in the near future

Sorry to hear about the injury, which sounds pretty serious, but pleased to see that he's clearly on his way back. My best wishes for a complete & speedy recovery.
