I think Muzza's only chance of reaching the Final and being fresh enough to have a chance in it is if Rafa goes out early.

Rafa could face Tsonga in the QFs...

Murray's draw isn't great, but it's as bad as some people (especially on MTF) are suggesting it is.

Gulbis in round one should be a nice starter and will also ensure Murray is ready to go just in case Gulbis has his first good match of the year.

Round two is a walkover, and then one of Karlovic/Navarro/Lopez/Dent in round three and all of their games match up perfectly to Murray's anyway.

Yes, Del Potro in the QF's isn't the draw he'd have wanted, but you'd still fancy Murray to get through that draw, and seeded to get Nadal in the semi's isn't ideal, but I'm not too sure Nadal is in good form to get to the semi's and even if he did, the way he's been playing lately, Murray wouldn't have too many problems beating him.

A certain Mr. Federer though will be laughing at his draw and you may as well put him in the semi finals already.

apparently the guys lost because they had their girfriends with them...nothing to do with 3 of them playing higher ranked players and the other one being injured

i think its a bit silly to focus on the Girlfriends begin there. how often do we see Kim Seers, Bec Cartwright, Mirka etc, almost every match. surely being relaxed and enjoying the sport is that way to achieve best results so maybe the ycna help in that regard, although i agree that possibly they could be a hindrance, but without knowing specifics it's impossible to say.

Btw Boggo's dramatic drop of in form in the match was due to serve cramps, started towards the end of the 2nd set in his hand and during the 3rd spread though most of his body so basically he couldn't move. He's ok now though.

That's a bit unnecessary from oem, I think. Like the Count says, lots of the top players have their girlfriends/wives at every match, and if anything, Muzza tends to play better when Kim is there.

The bit about "they must be getting too much money if their girlfiends are all there" is pretty uncalled for too - how does he know who paid for them to go and with what money.

If one or two of them had upset their higher-ranked opponents, it would be being hailed as a great idea for helping to make them more relaxed and less nervous.

Well he wouldn't be a British Tennis journalist if he depicted the players as hard-working and focused, rather than as overpaid, lazy playboys which is the normal analysis

P.S. I never worked out what does OEM stand for?

That's true, but on any other subject, he is anything but the typical British tennis journalist, that's why we read his articles so avidly!
