Just thought that the latest update from Naomi's website about her current injury confirms there is still no love lost with the LTA . When is this all going to stop? Is all this bad blood having a negative impact on her tennis development ?
Naomi has now been out of action for nearly 10 weeks and is currently working at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in France to strengthen her torn upper hamstring tendon. Broady is in the final stage of her rehab program and hopes to compete again in November. Naomis ranking has dropped from 330 to 392 and will drop around another 100 places over the next few weeks but she remains positive and will fight to get back quickly!
Broady flies with her father and brother Liam to Mexico next week for her first tournament since the summer. Our thanks go to the team at the Mouratoglou Tennis academy who have been so professional with Naomi's rehab program. She will play the $25K in Puebla in Mexico then two $10Ks in La Habana,Cuba where she will link with Dave Sammel and his team. Naomi then returns to Mexico to play the $10K in Veracruz,Mexico. Meanwhile her brother will play ITFs at Yucatan,Mexico followed by Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl in order to gain more experience at the higher level tournaments.
