Week 31 - Challenger - San Marino (€85 000) - Doubles.

Jamie D and Jamie M are trying their luck here this week. ashamed First up for them will be the POR/ARG duo of Rui Machado and Sergio Roitman. Roitman, part of the team who knocked them out in Umag last week when he was paired with fellow Argentine, Dabul.ashamed If they manage to get through this one they are likely to meet Brunström and Rojer, the second seeds, and finalist in Umag! disbelief

So far, so good.  Somehow or other, J & J have taken the first set off the Portuguese Scot (MacHado...) & his Argie partner in a tie-break, 7-2. smile Come on, lads, keep up the good work in the second set. please.gif  1-1*...

Drat! Beat me to it.wink Better start for the lads this week, but I'll be happier if they can get a break or three. Bl***y typical: they get broken.disbelief

Thank God for that.  They follow H&H's example in Washington yesterday, take the MTB 10-7 & end their personal drought! 7-6(2) 1-6 [10-7]!  Well done, the two Jamies! biggrin

Well that was hard work but a win in the end: 7-6(2) 1-6 disbelief [10-7]. The doubles teams are holding their end up this week. Have my doubts that this pair will go any further, but I'm fully prepared to be proven wrong. please.gif

Get in!!!! Hopefully one will bring two now.

Brunstorm/Rojer v Biasella/Gaio is just kicking off to decide who meets the two Jamie's in the QF.

Looks as though it will be Brunstrom/Rojer:  they lead Biasella/Gaio (of neither of whom I've ever heard!) 6-3 2-0*. hmm

The second seeds, Brunstrom/Rojer, it is:  they beat Biasella/Gaia 3 & 2.
