Jamie D and Jamie M are trying their luck here this week. First up for them will be the POR/ARG duo of Rui Machado and Sergio Roitman. Roitman, part of the team who knocked them out in Umag last week when he was paired with fellow Argentine, Dabul. If they manage to get through this one they are likely to meet Brunström and Rojer, the second seeds, and finalist in Umag!

So far, so good. Somehow or other, J & J have taken the first set off the Portuguese Scot (MacHado...) & his Argie partner in a tie-break, 7-2. Come on, lads, keep up the good work in the second set. 1-1*...

Drat! Beat me to it. Better start for the lads this week, but I'll be happier if they can get a break or three. Bl***y typical: they get broken.
Thank God for that. They follow H&H's example in Washington yesterday, take the MTB 10-7 & end their personal drought! 7-6(2) 1-6 [10-7]! Well done, the two Jamies!

Well that was hard work but a win in the end: 7-6(2) 1-6 [10-7]. The doubles teams are holding their end up this week. Have my doubts that this pair will go any further, but I'm fully prepared to be proven wrong.
