what we don't know is if boggo is winning tight matches that are only made tight as he isn't 100% fit but otherwise they would be straights.
i agree if he is feeling bad vs scoville then he will probably pull out. at least he didn't enter the dubs this time rd!
I see what you mean, in points earned this year he is some way ahead. where that may really come into play is if he can get some good results post USO and see him rise nicely up the ranks.

Once Nadal drops the 800 points from winning the Olympics, he is only 400 points ahead of Murray, so if Murray gets just over 400 points more than Nadal in the 1000 series events, then he'll overtake him and become world number two, just in time for the US Open seedings to be announced. (Murray and Nadal are defending the same number of points from Canada and Cincinatti as each other)
And given Nadal's fitness worries, it's perfectly possible that Murray will manage to win 400 points more than Nadal in the two events.
Just if anyone was interested, that Boggo is currently 175th in the ATP Race this year, give or take a few places. Other Brit positions are Wardy at 215, Evo 221 and Goodall 242
Good stuff. It's very tempting to work out what they need to do here to solve the Liverpool and Central Scotland version of the infamous 'East Riding problem' ...
Edit: they can't do it this week - it gets quite tough to add large amounts of points when you aready have 9 (!) titles (2 Challengers, 7 Futures), 5 other Finals (all Challengers) and 2 ATP QFs on your list!
