Ok, so I'm reduced to sitting in my home office this week (wearing the Flemski cap of course) and checking for scores on the Vancouver Twitter & Facebook pages.
I emailed the media guy at Vancouver and he advised that there will be no live scoring from the event due to budget constraints! He's a one man show, but he'll be doing his best to update the Twitter page. Nice guy!
So ... it's up to him and our spy in the Flemski camp to keep the scores coming!
Flemski twitter says Boggo saved a MP in his R1 match. Jenkins took out top seed Ram too!
L32: Alex Bogdanovic WR 235 beat (Q) Igor Sijsling (NED) WR 327 by 6-2 5-7 7-5
L16: Alex Bogdanovic WR 235 v Scoville Jenkins (USA) WR 269
As I said at the top of p1, Alex's H2H against Jenkins is 2-2. The wins (Sunrise 2007 and Orléans 2008) were emphatic (2 & 1 and 0 & 1) but the losses (Delray 2007 and Nashville 2008) were also in straights, albeit a bit closer, so unpredictable doesn't begin to cover it!
Presumably this will be played on Wednesday. Flemski will be carrying GB hopes tonight against Battistone & Monroe sometime after 19.00 BST.

a close win there. good work from Alex to come through. from what i can gather the longer the match went on the more pain Alex was in, so really it sounds like all is not right yet. The week off helped of course, but to me it sounded like it's not fully healed. i don't know what he will do next he could push himself this week, and maybe skip Binghamton to try and be fresh for the USOQ.
the fact that it started hurting again, and will most likely get worse the deeper Alex goes into this event shows that almost certainly at some point he will need a proper rest break of a few weeks. personally i think he needs to try and be fit for the USOQ, imagine if he gets a nice qualies draw etc and cant take advantage of it.
edit: odd that the BBC picked this up, does make you wonder, ignoring his and evens runs to the semis of events but picking up a R1 win. .

I suppose it is a "bigger" challenger event and does have some famous alumni (i.e. Muzza) but can't think of any other reson why they pick up on this week rather than the last month
i have just noticed in Alex's last 3 events he has been down to face the 1st or 2nd seed in the 2nd rd and on each occasion they have been knocked out in Rd1. (and boggo has made rd 2)
imagine if he gets into the USO MD and gets Fed/Rafa 2nd rd.......

Or possibly Murray....
Very good win for Boggo and he's becoming quite good at getting through these tight matches at the moment.
Presume he saved the match point on his own serve at 4-5 rather than had Sijsling serving for the match, but either way, that should build up his confidence a bit more, and with Ram out, he'd have a good chance against Jenkins.
Injury though does seem to be a bit of a problem for him and I guess if he is struggling, the best thing to do would be to retire against Jenkins if things aren't going his way.
Boggo is starting to build up a healthy lead in the GB number two race and is almost at the point where the others could win a challenger and not overtake him.
