Please don't criticise LTA for a few mistakes I was just thinking how quick and improved their reporting was this week even from other events when Andy was not playing, especially the Boggo report I was well impressed.

That's why I said in my post: "I should add that I'd rather they wrote a report in a hurry with a few minor errors than no report at all, so this isn't meant to be a dig at them!"

They're making good use of Twitter too - very timely news from them today, albeit rather sad:

"Morgan Phillips taken his place in the AEGON Pro-Series final by virtue of a walk-over due to Alex Ward pulling out with a foot injury."

Hope Alex's injury isn't too bad. Congrats to Morgan on reaching the Final, which I think he would have done even if they'd played.

Thats a shame - I wonder if AWard will head to Belgium now?

Shame for Ward to have to pull out injured, but hopefully it's a precaution rather than anything too serious.

Great news for Morgan though, and hopefully he can win his second futures title tomorrow.

Morgan will face Klec in the final after he got the better of Brezac by 6-4 6-7(7) 6-3. pray.gif

The doubles final will be an all-Brit affair:  yes, folks, Tim & Dom actually pulled it off!  They  finally overcame McGee & O'Brien today by 4-6 6-3 [10-6]! biggrin

What a shame for Alex, cry but I'm pleased for Morgan.smile I hope he can pull it off tomorrow and make it a weekend to remember at Ottershaw. Now that Tim and Dom have upset the apple cart, again, we could have Brit winners in both the singles and the doubles. biggrin Fingers crossed and pray.gif

Chris has to play doubles tomorrow? That means he can't play anywhere next week

Shame for Morgan that he couldn't finish off the week with a title, but a great week for him anyway.

Congrats to Tim and Dom on winning the doubles as well, which is a bit of a surprise considering who they were facing.

Shame for Morgan but he seems to be back, another one on the road to the top 500

Yes, I think Klec was the favourite going into the match, though you always hold out hope after a run like Morgan has had this week! I think you'd probably find that people outside the top 500 reaching Futures Finals very rarely win them.

Morgan played particularly well at the Newcastle futures in May. So I am not surprised he has continued to get good results like this.
