RE: Week 31 Futures - GB F11 ($15k) - Ottenshaw (Hard)

The strongest qualifying line-up for a GB Future for a while, probably because it's so close to London and held at what looks like rather a nice venue.

I'm a bit surprised to see e.g. Morgan Phillips not get MD WCs here - since it looks like putting up the WCs for Ilkley at http://www.lta.org.uk/Competition/Resources/?c=comp-wildcard was the exception rather than the rule (even though it says at one of the other links on that page that putting them up on Friday is the 'rule'), I don't know for sure who's got them, but Jamie Baker is the only Brit in the top 1000 who was on the Alt list but isn't playing in qualifying, so I assume he got one.

All GBR and/or UNR unless stated:

After his run this week, I'd imagine Pauffley has a wild card as well as Baker, while the other two look to have gone to juniors such as Broady/Golding/Hewitt etc, unless Cox has asked for a wild card here given that he isn't on the list for anywhere that I'm aware of.

I'd expect us to get several qualifiers here with Phillips, Smethurst, Thornley, Feaver, Ward and Brassington being favourites to make the main draw.

All these GB futures in the summer holidays. Perhaps I should've signed in to one of them and say "at least I tried" :P LOL

I am kidding. At the minute.

I plan to be there for three days starting from tomorrow and am going to attempt to update scores using twitter, hopefully with a bit more success than some of the US Challengers.

If all goes to plan then www.twitter.com/ottenshawscores should have some scores throughout the day.

Week 31 Futures - GB F11 ($15k) - Ottershaw (Hard)

I'm assuming qualifying for this got rained off today?! Either that or the results service is so poor that we're going to be doubly glad if Josh is sending scores!

How on earth do you get there? Is there a train station nearby?
