QR1: Dan Evans WR 249 v (q6) Lukasz Kubot (POL) WR 136
Another intriguing DC warm-up match, 4th on Grandstand after 10 am local / 15.00 BST, so it probably won't be on before 19.30 BST. Kubot hasn't played a Brit since beating Jamie Murray 5 & 3 in Queen's qualifying list year. He has a 3-2 record v Brits - the '2' was Big Arv (twice), including in QR1 when at the start of Arvind's big run in Rotterdam ATP 3 years ago - I'm sure Evo wouldn't mind a similar outcome!
FQR: Evans or Kubot v (q8) Laurent Recouderc (FRA) WR 147 or Jesse Witten (USA) WR 277
It's 4 points for reaching the FQR and 10 points for qualifying here.

Would be great for Evo if he could get the win here but Kubot has had the best season of his career.
That said, I don't really rate Kubot too highly so if Evo can play to his best, he's got a great chance of winning, but it's a tough match to call and Kubot would be the favourite.
Good to see Evo having a shot at ATP events. The more he plays at the this level the better he will be and the more likely he will be a top 100 player.
