Goody will play David Guez (FRA) in the second round.  Not sure whether that's good or bad... hmm

Guez has beaten Josh twice in their only two meetings, one on clay, one in Metz qualies last year.

Pretty straightforward win for Josh and a match that he was probably never going to lose.

Should have a good chance be able to get past Guez in the next round and turn that poor record around, although with Josh you are never quite sure.

Josh and Sammy together again in the doubles. They've drawn the top seeds in round 1, González and Zeballos.

Not a bad day for Josh:  they took 'em out by 6-3 3-6 [10-7]! biggrin

Get in there Josh!!! Good chance of taking another doubles title :D.

Good confidence boosting win in the singles, that practice match against Pless is really something 6-0 4-2 is pretty dam good against someone who beat him in 3 last year, if only a practice match.

James is partnering Kristian Pless (DEN) and they, would you believe it, have drawn the second seeds, hmm Rogério Dutra da Silva and Julio Silva (BRA) in round 1.

I'll be surprised if they get that far:  Pless retired at 6-6 in his R1 singles match against the second seed, Zeballos! hmm

Still on the DS and not on today's OoP, so may be in with a chance! A better start to the week for Josh. Hope he can keep it going.
