Heather Watson: I'm a girl version of Tsonga

Hey guys,

Got an interview with Heather up on the blog this week. She is so delightful to talk to, so grounded and so brilliantly ambitious. Watched her in Frinton and she should do some damage with that serve.

interview is at

hope u like it

Thanks, it's a good read. I think Heather could be a fun player to follow over the years, as long as the time spent at Bolletieri's hasn't robbed her of any individuality as it seems to do to all but the very best. I'm glad she says she's really going to be concentrating on the senior tour now too, I've been surprised it's taken her so long to do so.

Btw don't let SC see "AND IT GET'S BETTER" ... ashamedwink

I think spending time at Bollettieri's and having Tsonga as a role model should give her just the right balance between boring robot and over-the-top eccentric. Much as i enjoy Tsonga and like his personality and game, his focus can be easily called into question a lot of the time, so having Nadal as a role model as well is probably a good idea...
