I agree Smidster, it allows Andy to just play two matches. I have always thought three is too many, even if he gets through them, it would surely affect his form in the immediate weeks afterwards.
I was out last night so missed this, and then dead to the world since, but what a great result to wake up to! Pretty shocking that they denied the fans the excitement of another MTB, but I think we'll let them off.
I wonder if JL will be tempted to pick them for DC in Ken's home town to get the noise level up - I doubt it, for the reasons FD gave, but if this sudden run of people getting injured continues (which I very much hope it won't) and Colin ends up as our 3rd or 4th ranked fit singles player, then the case for picking them would get a lot more compelling.
Thanks to Tim and 'Team Flemski' for all the updates too - Tim, it looks like you'll need to make sure you wear your Flemski cap when they're playing next week even if you're not able to be courtside!

Just having a look at Flemski's recent record and they've reached six challenger finals in a row now (since losing to Widom/Yani in Baton Rouge in April, which is probably their last defeat against a poor doubles team as well). Don't know if that is some kind of record, but I can't recall any team in recent years who have done that, so it is definately looking good for the boys.
And in the ATP events they played, they did well in those, reaching the QF's at Queens and having 3 match points against Kubot/Marach, QF's at Eastbourne having had a minibreak advantage in the MTB, and then being two points away from a win at Wimbledon, so they've been able to step it up at ATP level as well.
Ken has moved up six places in the rankings to N° 106 today & Colin up seven to N° 108, while Aucks has inched up a couple to 115 and Jamie M has slid down 28 to 135!
