Boggo is the reigning champion here, but whether or not he will play is touch and go, obviously. Evo is definitely in, either as a late DA or as a special exempt since he is still playing in Lexington.
Meanwhile,as with all tournaments held in Québec (it seems), the qualifying draw is ridiculously weak, so even the Skupster is having a go!
QR2: (q5) Colin Fleming WR 454 v (WC) Sebastian Jacques (CAN) UNR or (WC) Kamil Pajkowski (CAN) UNR QR2: Ken Skupski WR 847 v (q4) Hiroki Kondo (JPN) WR 415
If he beats whichever unranked wild card he ends up playing, Colin is likely to play 25-year-old (q3) Lester Cook (USA) WR 355 in the FQR, a rare ambidextrous player. Apart from a w/o win against Tim Bradshaw, Cook's only singles match against a Brit was a loss to Andrew Kennaugh (12-10 in the 3rd set tiebreak) when Cook was seeded 4 in Frinton in 2006, so that's a good precedent!
Edit: Sorry, Steven, couldn't resist the temptation to correct your spelling of "ambidextrous"!

hmm interesting, haven't seen Dan play a big server before, aside from hammering Eaton at the start of the year. Let's see how he does, it's not a great draw but not a horrific one
Evo should beat Anderson, if it gets into a rally Dan, is already the favourite in my view. Anderson is very like Isner, the serve is colossal, but other parts of his game are very very average. I cant see Evans losing unless he plays bad.
QR2: (q5) Colin Fleming WR 454 beat (WC) Sebastian Jacques (CAN) UNR by 2 & 2 QR2: Ken Skupski WR 847 lost to (q4) Hiroki Kondo (JPN) WR 415 by 3-6 7-6(4) 7-5
FQR: (q5) Colin Fleming WR 454 v (q3) Lester Cook (USA) WR 355
Given that Colin's ranking is based on 10 months play rather than 12 and from a standing start, whereas Cook will have got more DAs and seedings in Futures throughout that period, this is a match Colin should really be expecting to win. It's always dangerous to read too much into one result, but I think a win would indicate that he's on his way to taking out his old career high sooner rather than later, while a loss would be cause for concern even if his opponent is ranked almost 100 places above him.
L32: (SE) Dan Evans WR 274 v (4) Kevin Anderson (RSA) WR 156
Both of these players lost to Kuznetsov in straight sets in Lexington, though Anderson got marginally closer to him.
Anderson's record against Brits is very mixed - he got thrashed 1 & 2 by Oliver Freelove in the South & Central African Satellite in 2003 when he was 17, beat Jonny Marray 4 & 4 in Botswana in 2004 then didn't play another Brit until 2007, when he beat Boggo in New Caledonia by the same score. Moving to the northern hemisphere, he then lost to Jamie Baker in the Brownsville in 2008 but how their fortunes have reveresed since then.
While Jamie continued his wonder run in the Texas Futures, Anderson would go on to qualify for Las Vegas ATP the following weekend and then went on to reach the Final there. A few months later, he beat Bam Bam and Josh Goodall on his way to the Surbiton Challenger Final, a result which took him into the top 100 fleetingly, but in the equivalent event this year, i.e. Nottingham, he lost to Chris Eaton in R1, the only time one of his singles matches against a Brit has gone to three sets.
