Katie will be 103 if she wins and 104 if she loses.

But the gaps are pretty big around that mark, it's almost as if they're teasing her.

Bradford? She's an East Riding girl. ;)

Will she make the cut for the US Open or is it too late for that?

That's a BIG surprise - well done Georgie biggrin ... bad luck Katie. cry

Georgie has now amassed more points since the start of 2009 than Mel South, believe it or not! (but less than Cav)

Not a complete surprise. Georgie really impressed me at Wimby but her confidence can be quite fragile . Defo capable of top 100.

I think that's Georgie's first 25K title isn't it? She definitely likes playing in Spain.

Katie's been playing consistently well at this level all year, and she's bound to get a good draw or a good win at tour level some time, so I'm sure she'll crack the 100 eventually this year.

Yes, Katie has amassed 524 points so far this year (see http://britishtennis.activeboard.com/index.spark?aBID=61841&p=3&topicID=18298086&page=13) so 'only' needs another 130-140 more in the next 5 months to end the year in the top 100. Of course, with Katie, you never know what might happen, but she's had a very good first seven months overall.

She will never get a better opportunity in my opinion.

Georgie won a $25K in Nuriootpa, Australia in 2006.

Well done to Georgie, who is more in need of a title, and a confidence building week for Katie. Mentioning Katie's target seems to bring bad luck, rather like Shakespeare's 'Scottish play', so perhaps we should just call it 'solving the East Riding conundrum' or something similar.

katie needs to stick to these lower grade tournaments in order to achieve her lifetime goal.

ROFLMAO biggrin ... or ERC for short - "erk" even sounds like something you might say when Katie's playing. wink
