Hopefully this is a similar mistake to "Fink def Paliivets 3-6, 0-6, 6-2" - but I hope they'll correct this one so we don't have to wonder for too long!

I'd set up a twitter account for pick 'ems (long story, whether I'll end up using it or not, I don't know) so I've messaged them to ask what's going on.

Mel's own site is saying she lost. But then it's presumably run by a family member who may be following the same twitter feed (ever the optimist!)...fingers crossed.
Mel is in poor form so not a surprise I think it is fair to say that the only British girl on the upward curve at the moment of the top five is Elena. Here's to that changing shortly.

... and a later message said that Lee-Waters won 6-4 6-4, so on that basis Mel won the 1st set too. However, if her site says she lost, I assume they checked with Mel

Acc to Mel's website, she picked up an injury, struggled to play through it and has now pulled out of Stanford. Sad to hear, it's really not a good year for Mel so far, is it? If she's not careful, she's going to be overtaken by Georgie soon :(
Oh dear, what a nightmare - after taking all that time away from the tour for the big training block too, I always wondered if that was a good idea, but you'd at least have hoped it would have helped with injury prevention.
