L32: Jamie Baker WR 948 v (Q) Sun-Yong Kim (KOR) WR 973
This is the Kim who beat Jamie 6 & 3 in Malaysia last month (and then beat Dr No in 3 sets in the main draw), so this week's result will hopefully say something about Jamie's improving match fitness since then. Both players are well off their career highs - Kim's was 611 in 2006 and Jamie's was 211 of course. Kim is 4-1 against Brits, Chris Eaton being the one who beat him.

L16: Jamie Baker WR 948 vs (2) Ti Chen (TPE) WR 383 (according to the drawsheet)
Revenge for that semi-final defeat last week would be nice. For the record, Chen, the third seed last week, went on to take the title. Pity Jamie has to face him so early on in the tournament this week.

So good to see Jamie winning again - hope his recent successes will encourage and inspire him. Would so love to see this hard working lad climb back up the rankings.
Day off tomorrow. That should give him time to work out how to beat Chen. Pleased to see him get another win.
L16: Jamie Baker v Ti Chen (TPE/2) is first match on court 3, starting 15.00 local time. Some bright spark who's up early tomorrow will no doubt enlighten the rest of us with the score.
