RE: Week 28 - Manchester Challenger [35K+H] - 2009.

I've always wondered, but I don't think so? Did a rough check and none of the articles mention a relation.

It would be great if you could text scores to someone, James. smile.gif

Well done to Jonny for qualifying here and that hopefully will give him a boost after a difficult season.

Anderson isn't the nicest draw for Josh as he's got a massive serve by all accounts, so once again Josh will be under pressure to hold serve, but he shouldn't have too much difficulty beating him.

Not the greatest doubles draw for Flemski as well as Beck/Snobel should be a decent partnership. Would expect them to win, but might not be that easy.

I'm sure someone who had seen Anderson play this year (either in Nottingham qualies or in Jo'burg) said that he had a massive serve, although having never seen him play, I may not be right.

I know Kevin Anderson has a big serve, although strangely for him, he seems to have had his best results on clay this season, which is not at all what his game would suit.

It was Andrew Anderson who kicked off James Ward's grass season. Huge serve by all accounts

Shame for Jonny not to have played well today it seems, but probably better in the long run that Dan got the win as he's likely to have a much better future.

His next round match would be winnable if he can produce a good performance, and it would be good to see him back into some kind of form having not really produced for a while.
