Shame for Boggo to pick up an injury at this stage as he was starting to come into some nice form and had a great shot of reaching the final this week if injury hadn't struck him.
Hopefully he won't be out for too long and will be back in a week or so (although depending on the extent of the injury, it may be a few weeks before we see him play again), and the injury may be crucial in determining whether or not he sneaks into the qualifying list for the US Open.
hi guys, i don't have much net access at the moment. real shame for alex having to pull out. its some kind of shin injury, affecting both legs, he was feeling pain in them all week but it just got much worse in this last match (perhaps playing twice in 1 day was the killer) and he didnt want to do any serious damage so he had to withdraw.
I think he is having some tests this morning at the NTC but still going to head over to America as planned, i think he will wait and see exactly how it feels but i got the impression it didn't look good for lexington, and in the big scheme of things it may be better to take a week off if there's some doubt.

As we await the doubles results, Jonney Marray has turned up in the Itailian challenger doubles draw next week. Thinking of speciailising in doubles from now on maybe?
Talking of which, does anyone know where James Auckland is? I have a suspicion he may have called it a day?
I would have liked Marray to maybe journey with Goodall to brazil and be a solid pairing for doubles, especially if they get the result today as i cant see why they couldnt do well, they've breezed through this tournament already. They could be a decent pairing, they are very good mates. They have a simular doubles rank at the moment so would be playing the same kind of challengers, which i presume would follow the quicker courts. I dunno, but im sure it could work, 3 weeks in Brazil together if Marray had journeyed would have be a great chance at looking to see if there is a future. Maybe not though, but if Marray decides against singles from now on, he needs to find that simular kind of player to be with him, throughout the months/ year.
You must remember spud that there is so little money in chalengers at this level, about a quarter of what singles pays. Long trips like that, with doubles the priority must be hard to fund.
Looks like a good win for Goodall/Marray in view of Fleming/Skupski's recent pedigree. - Fleming/Skupski must be wondering what they have to do to step up to the next level. - Wimbledon must have been a big downer for them after leading by 2 sets.

Keep your lamp trimmed and burnin'. Soon be number 2.
Doubles stuff in general. Jamie Murray will most likely fall to British number 4 within the next fortnight, Ken & Colin are already up to numbers 3 and 4 respectively. and will soon overtake him.
Ken has a 17pt score left on his best 17, then a few 24pt scores. Colins lowest are also 24pts scores. Winning one round in challengers is no good to them to move on and, 2 wins and making the semis wont do much either. They really have to make finals all the time now to see any benefit. The sooner they can get into ATP draws the better.

Ah well, have to admit to being a little disappointed. I was hoping that the 2nd seeds would win this one. Can't complain too much though, it's a Brit win.
