Col & Ken win again! 6-4 6-3 clap.gif We'll know their next opponents later this evening when the top seeds, Brunstrom & Rojer take on Bemelmans & Ghedin. Another semi-final for our guys.smile

i honestly think we should go with these two for the DC dubs. tough on hutch but they are our best partnership.

B & G have just dumped out the top seeds by 3 & 4! biggrin They'll obviously be no pushover, but I'm cautiously optimistic... winkpray.gif

There may be some logic to this idea as it would be better to have a recognised partnership playing rather than one of them playing with Hutchins on a one-off occasion.

If Hutch continues this run of poor form, or Flemski have a really good couple of months, then it would become a lot more likely to happen, but would probably need Fleming to have a good run in singles somewhere as well to show he could be a third singles player if necessary.

If given the choice though, I'd imagine the doubles partnership would be Ross Hutchins/Andy Murray, or failing that, Hutchins and Goodall.

Another good win for Flemski today and their draw has opened up as Brunstrom/Rojer have just lost 6-3, 6-4 to Belmarans and Ghedin. Should be a very winnable match to get them into a final now.

Would a tournament win get Ken into the top 100?

Think a win could get him to around 115 and Colin to around 120

Had me sweating there for a while! Col's & Ken's match stats were so superior and yet it was such a tight match. They eventually won 6-7(4) 6-3 [10-8]. biggrin Another final, more ranking points and a few more Euros to share. Shall be off to badminton a happy bunny.wink
