Looks like Fleming had a good chance of winning that match but didn't play well enough in the tiebreaks and perhaps needed to take the chance he had at the start of the final set.
Hope Ward can get a result tonight, but not expecting anything from him.
It's a shame this fantastic doubles form isn't getting translated to singles form as well, though I would highlight that very very few people do manage to bridge the two disciplines. I think there are enough differences to make it very hard to switch between the two, not just in the sense of covering more area by yourself, but also in the tactics involved and the correct shots to use in situations. Just a thought, though perhaps not an encouraging one for Fleming's progress in the singles game!!

Wow! The unseeded Swiss, Marco Chiudinelli, has just taken out the eighth seed, Dominik Hrbaty (SVK), in straight sets (4 & 3!), which is important for James Ward's quarter of the draw, while another unseeded Swiss, Michael Lammer, saw off the Frog fifth seed, Adrian Mannarino, 2-6 6-0 6-3 earlier this evening! Inspired by Fed Express?
I second helki's sentiments with regard to Col's & Ken's match.
* The conclusion of the Hrbaty/Chiudinelli match means that James will be on court very shortly...
