Maniel Bains is a DA here. While the qualifying draw has no byes, only two of the players in it have a world ranking and only five come from outside India:

QR1: David Baxendine UNR v (WC) Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash (IND) UNR

Jayaprakash is a 15-year-old who is ranked 167 in the world in juniors, but has suffered two heavy straight sets defeats to players ranked well outside the top 1000 in his two senior events. He won a 24-22 tiebreak against one of the Thomson twins in the Final of a junior G3 event in Bangladesh in February, but David eventually won 7-5 6-7(22) 6-1. In fact, Jayaprakash lost to David T in singles and two Bangladeshi events in a row, and lost to the twins in doubles in the same events. Nice!
