i just cant be botherd to comment on this, because most forum memebers understand my opinion. lets just pretend he was never in wimb this year and not give it any attention.
Not the worst effort from Boggo, other than the return of serve stats, but Berdych did serve exceptionally well and if he does serve like that throughout this tournament he's going to be tough to break.
Just had one poor service game in each set, and on each occasion, Berdych got the break.
I feel so sorry for Alex and detest the way the commentary kept referring to Alex's 'terrible' Wimby record. Alex obviously played his best but just outplayed by a better opponent - simple as that!
That's disappointing for Boggo, but we really didn't expect him to win...did we? I think Berdych will go fairly deep into this draw, at least 4th round against Roddick.

Yeah, its sad the commentators failed to mention that two of his losses were to two of the greatest players ever to set foot on this planet......and one of those is the greatest ever player in the history of tennis. I'd have no complaints if Boggo were to get another wildcard for Wimbledon, based on today's performance.

It would hardly be a proper Boggo-bash if they did, would it. He seemed to play ok today, plenty of top 100 players would have lost to Berdbrain in straight sets with him in that form and Alex wasn't completely outclassed in any of them.
There are plenty of players in the draw I'd have put money on Boggo (or Josh in yesterday's form) beating, but with WCs it's always the luck of the draw that counts, that's why it's so silly limiting them - after all, both Dimitrov and Mahut, also WCs, got players any of the Brits would love to have faced and they both lost too.

Meanwhile, Rokkon (C Rochus) has also lost 8 main draw matches in a row at Wimby (he beat Tillstrom in R1 in 2000 before going out to Schalken, has lost to Fed, brother Olly, Koubek, Flipper, Cmawwn, Gimelstob and Flake since then and he now seems to be tryiong to chuck away a 2 set lead against Cuevas of all people to make it 9 losses in a row. (it's 7-7 in the 5th)

Jose Acasuso chalked up his 6th successive loss at Wimbledon (to go 0-8 in his career on the grass) when he retired two sets to love down against Potito Starace, presumably as he couldn't be bothered with a third set.
The same Potito Starace who was 0-5 in career matches on grass before today.
We also have Montanes vs. Canas in round two, while the likes of Nicolas Devilder, Nicolas Almagro, Victor Crivoi, Thiago Alves, Ivo Minar, Marcel Granollers, and one of Martin Vassallo Arguello and Pablo Andujar will reach round two.... all of those very impressive grass court players.
If Boggo had drawn any of them, then he'd surely have reached round two without dropping a set (and thus are the list of round one winners, so he'd surely have beaten the losers)
But instead he draws the 20th seed who is probably at his best on the grass and had an unstoppable service day.
Alex Bogdanovic on losing eight straight matches at Wimbledon: "It's difficult, it's tough. I come here every year expecting to win. I look back at the draws and they haven't been easy. These guys are all top players. All you can do is go out there and try your best."
Journo: "You have the worst record of anyone at Wimbledon, how does that feel?"
Boggo: "I'm not concerned about that (his record at Wimbledon). All I can do is go out and try to do my best. It doesn't matter if I lose eight times, 10 times. They're just tough matches. It's just if I'm making progress, getting better - and I think I am. I believe I can get back into the top 100."
Did I miss him being in the top 100 before?! Seriously though, he's right, that's all you can do. That and hope to draw Pashanski or Berlocq (which doesn't mean it isn't quite a feat to hold your nerve and get past them, especially in straights), any of those listed by FD above, any of those whom they beat, etc, etc.
