Strange game that from Davydenko...I think the match is on his racket as if he plays well, he will have enough to beat Evans, but if he plays like he did in that game more often, then Evans has a chance.
Yes, it's hard to fault Evans - who looks pretty competent - but there's no way he can win through a conservative approach if Davydenko keeps his level up.
Evo's looking pretty good here - it does make you wonder how many Brits we could have got through to R2 if a few of the grass court clowns had drawn Brits instead of each other, e.g. Oscar Hernandez is losing 6-0 6-0 to clay court specialist Leo Mayer! LOL

To be fair, Mayer isn't really a clay court specialist as his game lends itself a lot more to the hard courts, and he did reach the QF's in Eastbourne last week and only lost 7-5 in the 3rd to Dancevic.
That says, Hernandez would have been the dream draw for anyone.
