I think he's the youngest British 15K winner for quite some time. Andy didn't win one, the same goes for Evans. I think the youngest is probably Boggo?
Wow, what a great week for Dan, winning his first Future without losing a set, and it's a 15K!
At the end of Wimbledon, he will move up about 120 places - 92 points from 25 tournaments would be enough for 503rd/504th at the moment, but with more points coming off in general than are going on at the emd of Wimbledon, he may well scrape into the top 500.
He'll definitely move up to GB no. 9, ahead of Marray and Eaton.

Great win for Dan and he's finally got that futures title to his name. Just need to kick on from it like Evans did when he got his first title and swiftly start to move up the rankings.
I think he now takes a week off from playing, with Felixstowe and Manchester to follow. He needs a withdrawal to get a seeding in Felixstowe, since these points won't count.
I'd really like to see him go play all the South American hard court Challengers after Manchester, i.e. it won't happen. Recanati followed by the two British 15Ks won't be too bad either, I suppose, but I think that now it's time he quits Futures.

I think I'd rather see him hit the top 300 with a few more futures titles (maybe stronger ones) and the odd challenger event so that he's regularly a Challenger DA before leaving the Futures behind.
I think Evans started well in Challengers because his confidence was so high after last summer/autumn's futures titles and he kept the winning feeling going a bit.
Don't think it's time for Cox to stop playing futures events just yet as his ranking isn't high enough to justify doing that.
If he did play challengers every week, then he'd be needing to qualify each time and for a good chunk of the challengers he wouldn't be seeded in qualifying, so he'd be needing to beat 3 players who are higher ranked than him just to pick up a couple of points, while he can get the same for beating a couple of lower ranked players in 10/15Ks.
Would want Cox to be inside the top 350/400 before concentrating solely on challengers as otherwise it's not going to be easy for him to get ranking points, and if he can get their with a few titles then the confidence is going to be high.
Makes sense for Cox to play the GB events over the summer as he's always done well in them and it's a money issue as well.
It's not that difficult to qualify for Challengers during these period, really! Since Manta had a cut off of 888 last year, he may even get a DA or two. Since he's beating guys like Smeets, Niland and Fischer of late, I'd back him to qualify at most weak Challengers if he can replicate that tennis.
