Of course, there weren't actually many spectators on Court 1 when Mel was playing, or Court 2 when Josh was playing - loads of empty seats. Though those that were there were doing their best to make a noise!
I'm not sure ticketing Court 2 really works that well - they tend to put an eclectic selection of matches on there and the two times I got (old) Court 2 tickets early in week 1, I've spent all the time on the outside courts following the Brits and about 30 minutes in total in my Court 2 seat. It's a pity you can't return Court 2 ballot tickets in exchange for a ground pass really, though of I'd got one this year and done that, I might have regretted it now that they've put Laura, Josh and Boggo all on there!

Isn't it typical of Wimbledon that when you click into KOB's profile page there is no photo and zero information and statistics? Everyone else's stats appears at least if not a photo also. I just think it's inherent of the bigwig mentally that must be rife, they couldn't care less, but it's these little things, added together, that improve the state of our tennis.

There were nine at 1-0 and I think it really knocked her confidence in the first set. I like Katie's shots, but she could do with a little more variety because they're very flat and quite risky, especially with Benesova going for the backhand so much. The commentators are criticising Katie's service action for being too straight-armed and not using the wrist - concerns about future shoulder injury apparently.
