What a stonker the guys have had, couldn't have been much worse really. The ont shinning light i think is that Murray is going to get to the final. I'm going for a Murray vs Fed final, i think Fed will win but i shall be there to watch it.
**** i was gonna get a ground pass for Monday to watch the Brits but now there's little point.
THANKS RAFA!
You could still go and watch Goodall and Ward
Ward is likely to be on a show court, maybe court 2, given that he's facing Verdasco, which is ticket holders only, so you probably wouldn't even get to see him!
Are we having seperate threads for each first round match with the wildcard brits, i think that would be good, as it would give each one there own space rather than clump them all in this thread.
Berdych Mathieu Davydenko Roddick Del Potro (who wont get this far-more likely to be Hewitt) Murray Federer.
Now looking at the first 3/4 rounds if Boggo plays not even his best tennis but stays with it mentally, i can see him coming through them especially on grass.
How he gets through:
Berdych - If he doesnt mentally collapse, and plays a solid match and Berdych doesnt play above par Mathieu- Bog can definetly hit with the same intensity and power easily as the frenchman, so another solid match to play. Davdenko- Hoping Davydenko isnt playing well on grass then Bog can definetly win as even Guccione almost beat him last year. Roddick- Well 2 points at Queens thinking back and he would have beat him on grass. I think, apart from the serve, Roddick has nothing tbh. Commentators have said how he cannot seem to hit through people off the ground and cannot hit the winners off the forehand side. So if Boggo, like he did at Queens can serve well and keep the ball in play he always has the upper hand. Del Potro/Hewitt/Whoever- Maybe will have to much. So Boggo goes out in the quarter finals of The Championships 2009 and gets everyone off his back and breaks the top 50 by 2010.- Now back to the real world spud. ;)
As an aside there is mention of the fact that Novak wasn't invited to take part at Queen's due to money.
Well, I read the full article but it does'nt give much more info about the bolded part of this post. How can somebody be "not invited" to take part in an ATP tournament which their ranking qualifies them for? Surely if they want to enter, they have to be accepted?
Now, I could believe that they weren't prepared to offer him as much appearance money as he wanted, and Halle offered more. . .

That works out to a similar probability of at least one win between them to yours, 43% in this case.
That looks reasonable to me, I'd definately personally give Evans more chance than Ward.
Anyway, that would be a 0.024% chance of all 4 winning ( i.e. about 1 in 4000 ! )
( actually slightly less individually and collectively since bookies odds are overround, or, less technically, skewed so that they can make more bucks )
So slightly odds against one winner, but not by much. So I think we should be a bit disappointed if none win, pretty pleased with one winner, very pleasantly surprised with two winners and amazed and delighted with any more than that.

At least they'll show the Brit matches on freeview/digital/"the red button"/whatever
It's a big ask for any of our lads to get a win but I decided to peg for one other Brit win and in the pick'ems I chose Josh. I'm sure he'll be nice and oblige me WON'T YOU JOSH?
