I don't know, I think I would rather he had to play a dodgy-kneed Rafa than a fit Delpo - though i don't really think Del Boy will be much of a threat on grass, I'd rather not find out. I hope somebody takes him out earlier!
Del Potro won't be getting to the semi final of Wimbledon so we won't be needing to find out.
For a man without any kind of track record on a grass court, he's got a horrible start with Clement, then Hewitt, then Tursunov, all of whom are arguably at their best on a grass court.
Then possibly Stepanek in round 4 whose variety should cause him a lot of problems, before Roddick in the last 8.
Can't see Del Potro on grass coming through that draw to be honest.
The people who gets most affected by this perhaps are Kiefer and Blake.
Blake goes from being in a horrible section of the draw to have a free run to the 4th round, while Kiefer goes from having a free run to round 4 to having to come through the Santoro/Ferrero/Youzhny and then Gonzo section to get there (and also means that there is a round 4 player from Hanescu/Navarro/Devilder/Lapentti/Pavel/Lucky loser/Reynolds/Simon - should be Simon but he is so out of form, so perhaps Navarro can have another good run as he had this week with his s/v play, or Lapentti can roll back the years like in 2002 and reach the last 8)
"Nadal's absence will cause a reshuffle in the mens singles draw. Nadal's place will be taken by fifth seed Juan Martin Del Potro. Del Potro's place will be taken by the 17th seed James Blake. Blake's place will be taken by Jose Arguso of Argentina and a lucky loser will fill Arguso's spot."
Who's this Jose Arguso? Is it Jose Acasuso or Martin Vassallo Arguello?
(never mind that it should actually be Kiefer, unless there's been another w/d I don't know about!)

it really is a useless website, i wonder if the same people who write articles for it do the LTA's as well. Or the two have a competition to be the worst.
If Kiefer has withdrawn, then it should be Paul-Henri Mathieu, so it's not even an Argentine who would replace Kiefer and thus get confused with.
How difficult can it be to get someone's name right? Surely taking a few seconds to look on the ATP site or check a drawsheet is better than making a mistake in your work and thus leaving credibility?
Or does every website reporting on tennis have a contractual obligation to make at least one error in every report?
They've now decided it IS Kiefer and Thiago Alves is getting the LL slot. Until they change their minds again, I guess. I feel sorry for Jose Arguso, the little known Buenos Aires street sweeper, who must have got very excited for a few minutes!

does anyone know if the top half will still play on Monday now Rafa is out? or will they reverse the order as the highest ranked player is now in the bottom half.

Brilliant Steven
OK, I've been out and I'm a bit pissed but I did indcate earlier how bad some of the stuff written regarding Andy's draw was.
I'm still sober enough to recognise what a disgrace some of the articles on the Wimbledon website are. I could write better pissed !!
This rubbish on top of the farce of a communication re the draw and really surely questions need to be asked.
I know someone said Wimbledon won't care, but the differentiation between this shambles and the other Grand Slams is so marked !!
Fed has nabbed the defending champion's first on Centre on Monday slot, so the bottom half will now play on the odd days, which means the Bogster should be playing on Tuesday.
