Josh v Llodra Boggo v (21) Berdbrain Wardy v (7) Verdasco Evo v (12) Davydenko
Has there ever been a worse draw for the GB WCs? Just shows that to get someone through, you need as many in the draw as possible to maximise the chances of one of them drawing a grass court clown.

Roddick is in the top half of the draw. He faces a quarter-final v Nadal if both win through 15 minutes ago from web ---------------
Murray is in the top half of the draw opposite to Roddick. His likely opponets are Wawrinka or Safin (4th), Gilles or Gonzalez (1/4),l less than a minute ago from web

Murray v Safin/Stan in R4 could be tough, but I like his QF v Gilles or Gonzalez again! Same as FO, but without the homecrowd possiblity / fave surface factor.
Remember Andy left it very very late a couple of years ago when many folk thought it very unlikely he was ever going to play and a lucky loser eventually took his seeded place, it being too late to even put a 33rd seed in his place.
Rafa, more than anyone, as defending champion has every right to give himself every chance to play.
Unfortunately the reports from Radio 5 about his match with Hewitt don't look encouraging. Not only did he lose but he was evidently struggling to get down to low balls.
If Nadal withdrew the Del Potro to Nadal's place etc makes reasonable sense, in they are keeping the seed batches ( 1 to 4 ), ( 5 to 16) and ( 17 to 32 ) balanced by replacing in slots with the next best available. I know it would be great for Andy to totally avoid having in his half of the draw any of the remaining top 4 players left, but this arrangement strikes me as pretty fair. They would though be quite fortunate that Andy is in Rafa's half. If it had been Djoko in Nadal's half and they ended up on a Nadal withdrawal with the top 2 ranked players left in in the same half that wouldn't be so good.
It was my understanding that in the event the no 1 seed pulled out, while they were still in the period where they could rejig things, then the no 2 seed would take the no 1 seed's position at the top of the draw and the no 3 seed take the no 2 seed's place at the bottom of the draw with other changes unclear. But clearly this is not the case or maybe things have changed this year.
