RE: Weeks 25-26 - Wimbledon Singles Main Draw

Great entertainment on court one at the moment after the sad end to the Haas/Llodra match when Llodra in an attempt to chase down a ran into the umpire's chair and had to retire.

Haas has decided to entertain the crowd by giving all of the ball boys a chance to hit with him.

Great stuff from him and something that will endeer him to the crowd.

Not sure what goes to court one now... presumably one of the unscheduled doubles matches as none of the courts look too far behind (maybe court 4 which are still in their second match)

Richard Bloomfield has vowed to consign his injury-plagued 2009 Wimbledon campaign to the history books and return a better player as he prepares for a spell on the treatment table.

EDP story here

It's good to read that at least The LTA are offering Richard some help with his injury at their new facilities.

Thanks for the news m-j-d. Fingers crossed for Richard, he deserves a decent break.

I didn't realise he was suffering with his back - explains a lot. Good luck to him for a quick diagnosis and recovery.

It's sad that this is happening right in the middle of Rich's time of the year. cry.gif Hopefully the time out will get rid of the problem totally.

Juan Carlos was the only WC of 7 to win a match.

The 8th WC was not awarded, Guillermo Canas got the spot as next direct entrant at 108.  He also won a round.

There were 3 x LL's and they all won through into the 2nd round.

25 out of 32 seeds made the third round.
