Yes, I agree, though I still can't see where the win is going to come from!
My %s allow (approximately) for the bookies' cut btw.
Yes, I agree difficult to see who in particular the win will come from.
But the more folk actually stepping on to court the more chance one will come up with the goods. For instance if in addition to those 4 we had one more contendor with a 15% chance that would have put the odds in favour of at least one winning.
But GB mens tennis is so sadly lacking both quality and depth.
Unfortunately Boggo's career has had far too many "if"s.
Hopefully with an improved fitness level which may indeed extend confidence into other parts of his game we may soon see some "when"s.
I really hope so, because the guy has the talent to be much higher ranked than he is, which is what frustrates so many folk, noone more so than I'm sure himself.

Deja vu, anyone?
Here's something from a year ago, 7 months after Boggo first started working with Brad Gilbert:
"It's been fantastic. I've really enjoyed the experience. We've been working really hard since the first day and it's been high intensity. It's meant quite a lot more hours on court. I didn't win too many matches this year and I felt I was going to do a lot better than I did but I just think it's going to come; somewhere down the line all this hard work is going to pay off."

Only about 8 hours late, Count (see previous page) LOL
I'm surprised they brought the OoP out so early, actually, since once the OoP is out, any further w/ds have to get replaced directly with a LL even if they are seeds.

I love your obsession with British Players retirements Vandenburg or are you referring to the fact he won't be offered a WC next year? However I'm starting to see an improvement with Boggo's mental fragility. Taking Tursunov (the Eastbourne winner) all the way to a 3rd set tie break, hints at better things to come. I really don't expect Boggo to beat Berdych, but I hope he gives a good account of himself, as his fitness is definately getting better. I see Boggo carrying on for a couple more years, so I fear you may be dissapointed Vandenburg.

boggo was great against tursonov, and could win a couple of rounds at wimbledon, but mentally he could slip back so easily i feel, its always been his problem. i will be willing to streak nude at wimbeldon if ever breaks the top 100.
whilst i am sure boggo gets chesed of with the challenger tour and the constant attacks by the press etc if he were to retire he'd really only have coaching to go into, so there is probably no rush to retire, although VB has given him a great incentive to do so when he reaches 101
