oh no alex. i feel so sorry for you. you had a big chance at 5-4 and put the forehand into the net. a great performance oveall, but the big difference was how cool DT was on the big points.

Yes, that was a really good performance though, if it had been between twoplayers we didn't care about, we'd have thought both played well in patches and Tursunov was very lucky to win.

Gawd, that was bad enough just following the live score !
Real commiserations to Boggo, that looks as if it will be another tough one to take.
I did read that he had been doing a lot of work recently on the physical side, which he said he really needed to do ( some of us said that a long long while ago ! ) and more fitness confidence was giving him more general confidence in his game.
Is the hard physical work that he says he has been putting in noticeable ?
It's a step up for Alex - he hasn't put in a performance like that in a big game for a long time. I have a feeling that this one might really fuel some belief. He just needs an OK draw next week.
What happened at the end there? - I was only following the scores
After getting the MB for *4-3 he couldn't get a first serve at *5-3 there was a long rally and there was a bit of a gap for Boggo to go down the line bu he netted. DT then showed why he is 27 in the world and came up with two huge first serves when he needed them and then on match point Alex went wide with a forehand.
Boggo did come up with two great winners to get his two breaks in the tie-break but he might live to rue that first point where he seemed to lose concentration and found himself on the back foot and then sent a forehand long.
Only Boggo could actually play that well and still lose.
Unfortunately the rankings are bassed on results, not potential and "should be" and for whatever reason Boggo ultimately fails to produce the resuklts so many folk feel he should get.
Although today must be a bit of a sickener for him, I do hope he takes confidence from showing what he can do against a player as highly ranked as Tursunov.
